Jalebi is most popular sweet from Indian cosine. Jalebi made throughout India. It is a traditional sweet dish which is impotent part of lots of festival and celebration. Instant Jalebi recipe is a smart and easy way of preparing the crispy, crunchy, juicy and fresh jalebi at home within minutes.
INGREDIENTS:
Maida - 1/2 cup
Urad dal powder - 2 tbsp
Ghee - 3/4 tbsp
Eno - 3/4 tsp
Water to make a thick batter
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
METHOD:
Preparing syrup:
1. Take sugar in a pan and add water.
2. Keep stirring on low flame, so that the sugar dissolves.
3. Boil the sugar syrup for 5 mins. Add saffron and yellow food color.
4. Switch off the flame.
Preparing jalebi:
1. In a bowl, add maida, urad dal, eno and ghee.
2. It should resemble breadcrumbs.
3. Add water as required and the batter should have a flowing consistency.
4. Now pour this batter in the tomato ketchup bottles/ ziplock carefully.
5. Heat oil in a pan.
6. Now squeeze the bottle and make round spirals with the batter.
7. When one side is partly cooked, turn over and fry the other side.
8. Fry till the jalebis are a light golden. Remove with tongs and immediately drop the fried jalebis in the warm sugar syrup.
9. Dip and turn over so that both sides are coated with the syrup.
10. Remove and shake lightly and place them on a plate.
11. Serve jalebis hot, warm or at room temperature.
