MASALA POORI


Masala poori with potato curry, a tasty breakfast food made with whole wheat flour, Indian spice powders like turmeric and red chili powder. It is a variation of simple poori. Serve the poori warm with potato masala or aloo sabzi.





INGREDIENTS:

Wheat flour - 1.5 cup Ajwain seeds - 1/4 tsp Red chili powder-1/2 tsp Cumin powder-1/4 tsp Coriander powder-1/4 tsp Garam masala powder-1/4 tsp Salt to taste
Water as required
Oil for frying

METHOD:

1. Take wheat flour and all the other ingredients except water in a mixing bowl.

2. Mix well to incorporate all the ingredients.

3. Sprinkle water to make a stiff dough.

4. Rest the dough for 10 mins. Knead well for 5 mins.

5. Divide the dough into equal sized balls.

6. If needed dust with very little flour and spread flat round disc.

7.Heat oil in a kadai. Fry the pooris both sides until puffs well and golden in color. 

8. Drain in paper towel.

9. Serve warm pooris with aloo sabzi.
